When LAUP was founded in 1964, a group of community leaders came together because they believed the Latino community deserved greater opportunity, stronger representation, and a place where people could find support, connection, and hope. More than six decades later, that vision continues to guide our work.

Our theme, Honoring Our Past. Building Our Future., is both a celebration and a call to action. It honors the leaders, partners, and supporters who built the foundation of LAUP while recognizing the shared responsibility we have to create opportunities for generations to come.

Over the past 62 years, LAUP has grown alongside our community. We've celebrated achievements, responded to new challenges, and adapted to meet evolving needs.
